Rooted in Bohemia
2023-(ongoing)The music industry in the UK is huge, and brings in billions. But at the end of 2023, Moles closed down, joining over 60 other grass roots venues that closed in the 12 months prior.
Rooted in Bohemia is a celebration of individual musicians that make up the grass roots scene. With the help of Tom Tom Robins, Max Love and Hannah Eve l(ilgore, we explored where music comes from at the very roots. How do they make music and how to they get inspired. Using drafts of song and poem ideas, written by Hannah, they paired up with the images made and a book was created that really celebrates these artists.
‘Rooted In Bohemia’ is an ongoing collaboration between me and musicians to document the grassroots of this incredible industry.
